About

Our fellowship is fortunate to have two couples providing leadership, guidance, and teaching.

Watkins

Eddie is a native of Wake County.  He and his wife Betsy recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.  They have two married sons:  Matthew and his wife Jordan, Seth and his wife Saara.  Matt and Jordan have blessed them with four grandchildren:  Charlie (9), Gideon (7), Avery (5) and Oliver (3).  That’s 3 boys and 1 girl!

Eddie is in the financial planning arena and enjoys working with and helping people.  He coached youth baseball for many years and has recently been called out of retirement to assist in coaching the grandsons.  Betsy is involved as a helper to family and friends.  She is a part of women’s Bible study at Shepherds as well as the SEEK homeschool co-op.  Together, Eddie and Betsy have been  involved in marriage ministry for the past 30 years.

Daum

Chris and Sharon Daum have been married for 36 years and have been members of The Shepherd’s Church since 1995. Their oldest son, Matt, is married to Courtney and they have two beautiful little girls. Their younger son, Mike, is married to Kim and they have two energetic dogs. Their daughter, Audrey, is living in Boston and is pursuing a career in opera.

Chris is the CEO of a 200-person company that is headquartered in Raleigh. His job takes him all over the country. He has a great interest in knowing what God is doing around the world, because “God is not an American.” He is learning to speak Russian.

Sharon enjoys encouraging women to pray together. She was greatly encouraged by a prayer group that Betsy Watkins invited her to join during a challenging period of life, and she wants to pass that blessing on to others. Sharon is thankful that she is available to meet family needs as they arise, whether that be helping their aging parents who live nearby or helping with their granddaughters. Her favorite title is “Grandma”.

Together. Because Life is Messy.
